What you'll be doing
This role is responsible for assisting with the development and communication of the Freedom safety framework, the provision of safety expertise across Freedom, WHS system development, participating in incident investigations and risk management activities and supporting injury management and return to work tasks.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
- Assist development and implementation of Freedom's WHS Strategy and safety management
- Manage the reporting, functionality and improvements of the Donesafe Management System
- Support the business to ensure the highest standards of safety and compliance with all WHS legislative requirements
- Manage the safety management system to ensure organisational responsiveness particularly relating to new work practices, equipment and delivery models
- Work with the business units to provide advice on risk assessments for key, organisation-wide risks and ensure implementation of required controls
- Develop, implement and monitor WHS systems, policies and procedures, including reviewing, revising and updating the WHS Policies and Procedures to comply with legislation as required
Who you are
- Minimum two years' experience in a safety advisory role
- Understanding of WHS regulations and standards across New Zealand
- Cert IV in WHS or similar
- Retail industry experience preferred
- MS Excel skills required
